The Warner Cemetery dates back to the 1700’s, is the final resting place of a number of Canada’s key founding fathers (including Christian Warner), the location in 1801 of the first Methodist Meeting House west of the Bay of Quinte, and is designated as a Heritage site under the Ontario Heritage Act.
The Warner Cemetery is run by a volunteer board and we receive no government funding.
We have a perpetual care fund to help pay for ongoing maintenance but with today’s low interest rates, it does not produce enough interest to even cut the grass!
